Real Quick..... If you understood my last two posts.

Do you know who has a mattress full of money with an unlimited supply?

You are right!!!! It's the FED = (Federal Reserve Bank that is privately owned by rich dudes.)

Remember the story of the guy who went to California and bought up all the shovels. (He limited supply.)
He then sold the shovels for a very high price to the hopeful miners and ended up being a millionaire?) Was that fair? Was it fair to the miners? ....... You answer.

Back to the FED -- (I'm FED up.)

The FED steals money any time it wants. All it has to do is print more money. A nickel could buy a candy bar when I was a kid. Now you have to pay at least $1.00 for a candy bar. Thanks to the Fed printing money, the nickels I saved back then are practically worthless.

So, the controllers of our money dictates and controls our lives, our savings, supply, demand, and our economy at will. We have no recourse.... (Not even gold can escape this strategy.... Gold is a commodity, has gone up and down precipitously in the past and many people lost their shirts counting on it.)

Now, if we could tax the unlimited mattress (privately owned) according to the rules laid out in my two previous posts, we might be able to put "money" back doing what it is supposed to do... move and provide jobs.

"TAXING THE RICH"

The Rich DO NOT PAY TAXES!!!!!!!!
(See my previous post for explanation.)

Since I'm also a pinhead, I assumed everyone would be able to think logically enough to expand on my previous concept. Especially since I (a fellow pinhead) can understand it.

Let's expand on the concept of ECONOMY = MOVEMENT of MONEY. (Explained in my previous post.)

Time spent well, time wasted.

A lot of time and money is spent on "Escapism". Yes, people need to "decompress", but not 4 hours a day.

Money and time spent on escaping from reality is the same as opening the windows in the dead of winter... the only result is higher fuel bills.

Complex government regulations are the same. They waste valuable time and resources because there are no products produced that provide value to anyone... just aggravation and fear..
Too much money is in the control of too few people. (No, not communist here.)

There are super wealthy individuals, organizations and countries that have an excess of IDLE money. This idle money is used to leverage markets by buying up surplus to get a higher profit on artificially rarified supply. Taxing IDLE money would make it more profitable for these control freaks to put their idle money into investments that cause money to move. Only moving money creates more wealth.
Rich is not necessarily Evil.

Just because a person is rich doesn't mean that this "rich" person is doing anything wrong. Investments that provide capital to build more "money movers" is a good thing.
Stupid investments.

Mistakes like making an Edsel when everyone wants Volkswagens is a waste of economy (money). Solyndra anyone?
Planned Obsolescence:

Items made to fail to force consumers to buy new builds more poverty.

Cash for Clunkers made used cars much more expensive for those unable to afford a new car. Working poor cannot afford new cars.
Yet, the working poor are the ones that build items that provide value.

* Safety considerations can logically force obsolescence.

* Poor is a relative term.
(A friend of mine complained of making ONLY $25/hr back in the 60's. He felt poor when the average wage was $6.25/hr where I lived.
Needs, then Wants

Our main social structure must provide for the needs of all.
Needs = food, shelter
Wants help make life more pleasant.

Focus should be spent on making needs less expensive so more money can be spent on wants

Diversity

New technology and new products would be very difficult to discover if we all thought the same way.

Let's Tax Savings

(Savings is defined as money that does not flow and assets that do not aid in the flow of money.. Savings just sits there.)

---- Everyone should know by now that ALL TAXES ARE PAID BY THE PURCHASER -----
(For those of you that don't know this, I'll explain.. All items sold has a "cost of doing business" added to the purchase price. The cost of doing business includes corporate taxes.)

Money in a mattress does no one any good except for the "owner" who sleeps on it feeling secure.

Our current tax system taxes the flow of money. Taxing the flow of money slows down the economy.

Let's think about doing something completely different... Let's tax all money and assets that do not promote the FLOW of money.

I'm not suggesting going whole hog at this... there has to be some savings, but how much?
I suggest a percentage threshold, below which savings and idle assets are not taxed; above which is taxed.

Let's assume there is an optimum balance between the amount of money in "savings" and the amount of money that is flowing (being spent). If the right ratio of savings versus spending was found, a dollar would remain a dollar: no inflation, no deflation. Everything owned, both savings and money promoting assets could be passed on to heirs without any devastating results.

The optimum process would grow both sides of the equation. Savings would grow as the economy grows.

Of course, this plan has all the trappings of complicating itself like our current tax code. But the change would promote the economy instead of hinder it.

Just watched the S. Carolina Republican Debates and listened to all the high minded logic that makes sense to me. BUT...........

Who will do the electing?

Those who don't know who they are electing... plain and simple.

The largest majority of people who vote have no clue as to who they are voting for.

Their vote is based on.......

He/She's COOL!
"Gut Feel",
"Who do I Like?"
"Who's Face do I want to see for the next four years?"
"What's in it for ME?"
"If my favorite celebrity, rock star, likes this candidate, I'll like him/her, too."
My Church group told me to vote for.....
"Who will make me feel SAFE"

Obesity Musings

Several pieces of trivia I've learned over the years seems to gel into an idea of why our obesity rate is high in the U.S. and other countries.

Here are the pieces:

Hot dogs and Twinkies do not rot in landfills.
McDonalds hamburgers don't rot.. according to two sources: radio program, conversation with friend.
When cows are in the feed lot prior to slaughtering, they are fed corn which the cows cannot digest properly. I was told their stomachs would perforate unless they are fed antibiotics.
Antibiotics kill friendly bacteria in our intestines and a recent study associates antibiotics with obesity.

So, is it the bacteria in our intestines responsible for obesity? Seems like the evidence is building up.

Now I have to see if there are any studies done on the bacterial mix in the intestines from different cultures, especially those cultures that do not have an obesity problem.

And, I'm wondering if the antibiotic resistant bacteria are killed by the two glasses of wine recommended by doctors for men, one for women?

Do you know of any human on earth who has not sinned (Besides Jesus Christ)?

I don't anyone who is perfect. I KNOW I'm not.

Let's face it. All of us have done things we regret and it is very hard to fess up to them.

I don't care if Herman Cain is innocent or guilty. Herman is a human just like the rest of us. We all make mistakes, there are plenty of times when we wanted to say one thing and another thing came out of our mouths.

These mistakes are called "life".

I remember a time when I wanted to help someone. I wanted to forewarn this person about rumors being spread (unjustly) about a mistake this person was supposed to have made. I thought it would help this person deal with the situation if forewarned before things blew up into madness.

When I did this, this person heard something completely different and thought I was accusing him/her of making a mistake. I tried to explain, but communication didn't occur. The SHOCK of the unexpected blocked this person from hearing me trying to explain what I said and that I only wanted to help.

So, what happened from my effort to help? I was reported to upper management with a complaint and went through much of what Mr. Cain went through. It was a nightmare that came from trying to help someone out.

Now, I see Mr. Cain going through the same thing. It is not fun, it has you second guessing yourself constantly asking yourself questions like "What did I do?", "How could I have said this better?", "Am I insane?, "Do I have a double personality?" "What was heard?"

I've come to the conclusion that what we see and hear is what we expect to see and hear. So if I said the water is red, the person who heard me would swear I said the water was blue.

There's another thing that bugs me. Men are supposed to be perfect. How can any man be perfect with a ton of testosterone floating through his blood? IF Mr. Cain had a weak moment, MORE POWER TO HIM. It would only attest to the fact that he is A MAN! Much better than having a wimp running things.

Now the other side... WOMEN.

Did you ever read the book "Men Are From Mars, Women from Venus"?

This book explains that men and women think different. That's why the battle of the sexes.

One thing that women have over men is that they are much better communicators than men.

Men just plod along trying to get their point across. (Relative to women who can talk your head off.)

Let's face it... we all make mistakes, some are embarrassing and we learn from them. Our mistakes help us build our character and we are much less likely to make the same mistake again.

Coming from a man's perspective, if a man propositioned a girl, she should be flattered and can deny easily. No problem.

Going berzerk at being propositioned to says to me there's a mental disorder there. We are all adults and adults can understand the underlying nature of sexual attraction. Gosh, if we didn't have sexual attraction we'd die out as a species. The 7 billion people in this world attests to the fact that sexual attraction exists.

So, all you muckrakers out there. You aren't doing yourself any good.

If your are right about the allegations against Mr. Cain, you are just verifying the fact that Mr. Cain is a MAN, who, like most men, make human mistakes once in a while.

If you're wrong, you are no better than a malicious gossiper.

I believe I mentioned in an earlier post that our memory is not perfect. Memories change over the years much like the story that's passed on from one person to another.

How can anyone relate something that has happened over 6 years ago with absolute accuracy? Lawyers understand this, judges understand this. Witnesses have shown over and over again that they aren't reliable because they can only remember what the perceived and their perception could be totally wrong!

Let's focus on the point that Mr. Cain has figured out how to help us all out. His 9-9-9 plan is robust. You can tell by his lead in getting the other candidates to come up with a knock-off of his plan.

What Mr. Cain calculated was an optimum. Look at the other proposals... 23%????

Any number greater than 9 in any of these other proposals indicates to me that the "LESS THAN OPTIMUM" is being promoted for "SPECIAL INTEREST ADVANTAGE"

Follow the money and see how the other proposals leave in chances to do an end run around the best plan available. Numbers don't lie. Herman Cain knows that.

Bernanke announced the cost of living went up 6%.

Social Security recipients are getting a 3.5% cost of living which should pay for the 3.5% increase in medicare deductions in Jan 2012.

Co-pay for Medicare A-B is 20%. My "Agent Orange" cancer costs ~$60,000/yr.

The best supplemental insurance I can get requires minimum $5000.00 "out of pocket" before the rest of the expense is paid for.

This program leaves about $7000/year left for living expenses.... not enough to survive on. Food prices rising 200%/yr. All prices up....

I wrote a post somewhere and lost it. So, I'll try to re-construct the idea and embellish on it.

Did you ever wonder why groups of people stay where they are?

Why don't shanty towns disappear? If you were born in a shanty town, you are most likely to live your whole life in a shanty town in spite of the fact that you could leave it for a richer life elsewhere.

The same goes for those born in ghettos, deserts, or low lying coasts where many people die from storm surges and high tides every year..

I learned about this WHY from the experience my sister had.

Here's her story.........

My sister married a man she met through writing to a soldier during the Vietnam war.
He was from west Texas, she from Wisconsin.

He decided to move to Wisconsin to live with my sister and they both spent several years there. However, he missed "home" and finally convinced my sister to move to West Texas with him.

In Wisconsin, we had trees, grass and enough rain to keep things green. West Texas is basically flat desert with cactus, mesquite, dry, dusty, and a horizon filled with pump jacks. It smells of oil and the drinking water is brackish.

But West Texas was home to my brother-in-law and he missed it. (My predilection is green, his is wide skies and brackish water.) Now my sister misses the trees and green and sweet water.

I then realized that people feel more comfort living in areas where they were born and grew up.

Why is this so?

People like to stay in familiar surroundings because they know they can survive there. If they are taken out of their "survival" zone, i.e. to less familiar surroundings, they feel less secure. (Not said well, hmm.)

People fear the unfamiliar. Change is always scary, uncomfortable. Any change from their infant past will always cause discomfort. The same goes for any change from the usual in adult life.

Change for the better is always dreamed about, but only in the context of familiar surroundings.

AN IDEA ON HOW ALL OF US CAN GET RICH

Background

Last night, I went to one of Herman Cain's rallies in TN. Before going, I went to his website, http://www.hermancain.com/999plan to see if there were any changes since last time. YUP, there was.

I can now see his strategy (and it makes all the sense in the world) and it is brilliant.

In his speech last night, and he revealed another portion of his 9-9-9 plan and the logic behind it.

There is NO WAY the far leftists and "rightists" can stop his momentum.... he will always be one step ahead of them.

For security purposes, I cannot tell you what I perceived and I hope and pray he will be able to continue his campaign, because everyone, Radical Left, Radical Right, and everyone in between will learn from him that can promote their own goals. He's leaking these concepts, one by one, and they are moving to a crescendo that will be well worth the wait for everyone. I know his intentions are honorable.

Why am I so interested in Dr. Cain? Because he leaked a phrase that no one picked up on. His phrase told me that he is definitely on the right path. His leaked phrase is undeniable, accurate, and cannot be spun, twisted, or misinterpreted.

Like Herman's life, I was brought up to know that if I wanted something, I had to work for it. I had a job since 4th grade and did those jobs that nobody wanted. I worked on a produce farm with migrant workers from age 12 - 18. To augment my $0.35 to $1.10/hour wage during my farm "career", I also had a paper route at the same time. I'll never forget the two weeks I worked to fill in for a friend of mine in one of the worst jobs I could imagine: washing dishes in a bakery. All the big greasy pots and pans, stacked two-three feet high all over the place had to be washed thoroughly with hot water and detergent and disinfected with a 180F water rinse. (It was brutal, and after the four hot sweaty hours it took to do the job, I went home (on a bus) stinking like lard totally worn out.) To me, this was "normal", i.e. no complaints because that was the way it was.

In kindergarten, my mother walked me the mile to get there (winter, too). In elementary school to 4th grade, I walked the mile to school. After 4th grade, we moved to a newer home in a newer neighborhood which was about 8 miles away from elementary school, so we either rode our bikes, or took the city bus to get there. I walked 5 miles (one way) to high school and back no matter what the weather was. (Like -17F below zero with high winds.)

I didn't even think of complaining, because that was the way it was.

(Don't worry, my idea is coming, the above background is needed to understand it.)

Protests are everywhere right now. On the screen I see a lot of people complaining about Wall Street, the "corrupt" Banks, people who are paid by communists, unions, and other special interest groups to try to get something from whomever they are bashing.

This behavior makes me cry. Why? Because NO ONE TOLD THEM ABOUT THE WAY THINGS TRULY ARE AND HOW THEY WORK. Not knowing the true FACTS on how our world runs causes stress and emotional outbursts. NO ONE LIKES INSECURITY. Lack of knowledge causes insecurity, worry, and illogical outbursts.

Know this. NO ONE OWE'S YOU ANYTHING, not even your parents. Life happens, some good, some bad and that's reality. We can fix our lives in many ways, some honorable, some not. BUT WE CAN FIX IT - IF WE DECIDE IT IS UP TO US as individuals TO FIX OUR OWN LIVES.

(Getting closer to my idea.)

One thing about MONEY. Money is a piece of paper that represents the value what an individual has done for someone or for society. The value of a dollar is the amount of effort (or possession) a person agreed to do (exchange) that is worth that unit of value. (If someone gave you that dollar, that someone had to provide a dollar's amount of value to society.)

A nation's wealth is not money, it is the result of effort. For instance, a nation's wealth includes roads, highways, homes, mansions, yachts, junkers, inventory, land, resources, and intellectual property. A nation's wealth is the total of all the values it possesses.

So, now, let's get to our unemployed youth. The beginning of the solution to our economic troubles.

(Remember, ECONOMY = FLOW of Values (money), Pieces of paper stuffed in a mattress does NOT flow so it provides no benefit to the economy until it is put into motion (spent). (But, those pieces of paper are savings, a good thing for spending later when we can no longer provide value.)

We see youth protesting across this nation without a clue as to why they are protesting. Some will say they got cheated in their education and now flip burgers with a PHD in basket weaving with a BIG student loan debt hanging over their heads for the rest of their lives. (Like "green" degrees?)

Here's my IDEA....

Let's give our youth the opportunity to build their own future. This will be especially doable in the ghetto where there a tons of abandoned buildings.

Let's set it up so our youth could own their own home/mansion if they built it themselves with free raw materials and a piece of land given to them. All they would have to do is decide what they'd like to live in and go for it.

Every land fill, every abandoned building has all the resources needed to build a mansion. If there are any electronics in them, they could even have gold plated faucets. All they would need to do is dream their dream and be given the permission to do it. Each facet of building the mansion would be thought out if greed is implicated. (Junk Yards are also a great place for re-cycling resources. Nuts, bolts, electronic components anybody?)

Our youth are very creative and motivated to have something for their very own, to be unique, to stand out in the crowd, to have and be able to provide value. Any project that fails will provide the experience to do better the next time around.

You can take the idea above literally, or figuratively. The idea is to allow our youth (and anyone else) to provide value for themselves (as well as others.).

For instance, (and some of these are lame... I know.)

Teams of unwed mothers could provide babysitting services for each other while the rest of the team works to provide value for everyone in the team. Home decorating, recycling used clothing into drapes, shades, new clothing to sell, dying old clothes to make them look new, making quilts to help keep the poorer of us to stay warm. Ever think of using old clothes (rags) to make tie-dyed wallpaper, pillows, or pet beds? (Goodwill has tons of recycling ideas in their stores.)
Education Loan Strapped Students can cut a deal with the government that would allow them to provide value to society such as... re-cycling old buildings, cleaning/painting government property, working in national parks, fighting wildfires, renovating national monuments, cleaning up the environment.
Home care for the elderly. Help our elderly and handicapped citizens to stay in their homes. This would save the government (us) money by reducing the cost of housing our older folks in government sponsored facilities.

Even the gangs in Los Angeles understand commitments and pacts. Stories of their wounded warriors being cared for by their gang mates pop up in the news. This idea can be expanded to teams of "value" producers. Let's say a team gets together to renovate an abandoned home with the understanding that once the renovation is done, they can either sell it or live in it.

Providing ownership changes the way items of value (such as homes and buildings.....) are treated.

I expect a lot of criticism... but today is not one of my "brightest light bulb" days.

Let these ideas fester for a while, I'm sure someone will come up with a real winner using this thought process.

I have no claim on intelligence,. I realize this, and I'm too old to think otherwise. (Second childhood is GREAT!)

Herman Cain's 9-9-9

I like Herman Cain with his 9-9-9 idea. BUT.......
I do not understand why he has to have three tax sources. It makes no sense to me.

Why? Because any cost of doing business is passed onto the buyer. (i.e. the price a buyer has to pay includes the cost of doing business.) The buyer also pays the profit that those higher in the food chain get. (Whatever the market will bear.)

So, in reality, corporations don't pay taxes, merchants don't pay taxes, no one pays taxes except those who purchase things.

So, I want to one-up Cain's proposal. Instead of 9-9-9, why don't we just accept the fact that it is only the buyer who pays all the money needed to run the government.

If Cain's calculation adds up to 27%, getting rid of two of the 9's would result in less than 27%... MORE SAVINGS.

Now, if we could get rid of the IRS and all the tax laws except a "Sales Tax", we all would save a lot of money and get rid of all the parasites that make us do non-productive work. (Like spend time and money trying to abide by tax law.)

Sorry tax accountants, tax lawyers, most of the IRS employees. You've got to go. Wouldn't it feel better to do productive work instead of non-productive work (parasite) work? It might be more fun catching cheaters: lobbyists and cronies that try to cheat others from being able to compete fairly.

Take away the temptation of trying to get favors from our government, and corruption would go away. Corruption would be less profitable than doing things honestly and ethically.

"Income tax would no longer be called "income tax" because the only function our federal government is supposed to do is protect our borders and our national security so that us citizens can do our thing. So, the "sales tax" imposed by the government would be called "Security Tax."

Now, all other functions like building roads, providing public services like public transportation, garbage collection, treating water... etc. would be handled by the States. So the states would also impose a sales tax to pay for their necessary functional responsibilities.

Just think how cheap things would be after all the parasitic costs are eliminated! More money in our pockets, more time to do what we want to do. (I, personally, spend too much time trying to figure out taxes.)

If we just admitted the fact that buyers pay all taxes and provide the profits to the manufacturers, our life would be much simpler, less costly, and happier.

Introducing a Friend

I know what friendship is, and I'll be a friend to those who consider otherwise.

But, today I'd like to introduce you to Terry Pollard.

He makes me "redfaced" a lot when I spew out some of my garbage, because he's more often right than wrong.

Terry see's things in a different way which is both disconcerting, but also enlightening.

I like him.

Terry is dedicated to his beliefs and stands by them, no matter what.

His life has been threatened and he's been seriously injured because of his willingness to stand up for what was right.

SHELL GAME - TAXES

Anyone who purchases anything pays income taxes. (Let's leave inheritance taxes out of this conversation. We'll leave this to some future blog about government corruption.)

So... Here Goes!

If you purchase something, you purchase it from someone in business. Nuff said.

Now ANYONE who is in business is in business for the purpose of making a profit.

Profits are taxed at some level. (Minus deductions which are the result of honest efforts to increase jobs, aka taxpayers, or dishonest efforts by some to get an unfair competitive advantage, aka corruption.)

Honest businesses will pay their taxes and add their tax costs to the price of the product/service you buy.

So, at the end of the day, rich or poor, or anyone in between pays income taxes.. THE CONSUMER PAYS ALL INCOME TAXES.

So, when I hear about "the rich should pay their fair share", I go insane!

If you want something to buy, then you have to have a business to buy it from. A business must exist to provide the goods and services you need and want.

So, in order to survive, and for a reason to exist, any business will HAVE TO add their costs to the price you pay, including taxes.

All this bickering between left and right, between unions vs non-union, is meaningless. The bickering exists for one reason only: TO GAIN AN ADVANTAGE over others.

I think we all have a sense of what's fair and what isn't. Let's just look at the bigger picture.

You don't want someone leaching off of you. So it is safe to say that leachers should be identified and banned/removed/motivated to NOT LEACH.

We're in this world together. Let's be good... OKAY?

Addicted to Oil

As I mull over the nonsense I see in politics and our economy, I came to a realization that might explain it all.

President Bush gave us all a clue by saying "We're Addicted to Oil".

Then I see that most of the energy sources we have available on our own land are "off limits" because of some environmental threat. (Most of our Western States are "protected".)

Remember the Oil Embargo in 1973? The rationing, long lines at the gas stations?

This is when our politics seem to have all gone haywire. More distracting issues and walls put in our way for getting access to our own energy reserves.

All of a sudden we had "global warming", pushes for Solar, Wind, and wave energy. All much more expensive sources of energy than what we can get out of "carbon" fuel.

Conspiracy theories abounded and are in place today. Pick and choose which one you want to believe.

Here's what I think is going on......

The oil embargo was an experiment to see what would happen to our country if, all of a sudden, we no longer had access to foreign oil. The result was immediate disaster for the U.S.

Our leaders are given this "bad news" after being elected into office, and immediately see the danger of doing anything that will anger OPEC and jeopardize our nation's security.

So, here we have dance around the whims of our energy suppliers (OPEC mainly) in order to keep our country going. So OPEC says, "Oil will cost you this much, you will pay, or else we'll shut you down".

China sees our predicament as a way to capitalize on our dilemma. They will lend us the money to pay the high oil prices OPEC demands. Now, we are indebted to them. Our only hold we have on OPEC is our ability to defend them with our military. But, now, China has sufficient military resources to take the place of the U.S. (Using our money we pay to them for our debt to them.) It is a vicious scheme to control the world. Our enemies say "Jump" and we have to ask "How High".
OPEC no longer needs us, they have China!

I thought of a way to get around this dilemma, but don't want to publish this here. This end-run has to be done in absolute secrecy. (I will pass this info to some people I trust in case I get shut down here.)

So, at this point, The U.S. is toast unless we pay the extortionists.

Sorry for the negativity, hope I don't step on anyone's sensitivities. But reality is reality and we have to deal with it.

As I read the comments here, my paradigm looks familiar. We all have our paradigms.

Everyone has those ground breaking "AHA'S" throughout their lives.

Life is a problem/solution process. Not all "solutions" are perfect, but our existence proves they worked.

I have this feeling that, as we all go through this process of learning here, we will all have our own unique "essence" that fits our own existence with a common drive for more happiness, security, and personal value.... we all want that!

The following comments I'll make here is my paradigm...

no one else's.

I am not preaching here to get anyone to see things the way I do.

We are all unique and must find our own path to happiness and survival.

The concept of "wealth" fascinates me.
Many of us feel that wealth means money (which is a paper representation of value) that one can use as proof of their own personal value. The more "money" someone has, the more they feel they have/provide value.

However, my paradigm says
(and it won't be your paradigm)

My value is provided by helping my "group" (family, neighborhood, city, state, nation, world) to survive more comfortably. The more I can help my "group" survive, the more value my group gives to me. In other words, the more value you can give to others, the more indispensable you are to your group which will cause them to assure your own existence/happiness. Remember the phrase "What goes around, comes around"? I feel none of us do this by intent, it just works out that way.

Oh! How different (yet the same) we all are!

Each of us are motivated by the need to be "valued".

We all pursue things to assure our own value to others in our own way(s), be it kindness, getting noticed by doing crazy unusual things, or by positioning ourselves in a place where others cannot do well without us.

No one can provide value through force.

A lot of the problems we face in this world is due to a governing bodies that want to force you to be someone they think you should be. (Clumsy, but I think you'll get the point.)

We are all different.

I applaud anyone who is not afraid to be their own person.
Like my daughter said after I asked her (when she was a teenager) why she didn't want to wear the same clothes that her classmates wore.

Here's what she said which made me so proud of her,

"I don't care what others wear, I wear what I like to wear. I'm Heather!"

So, at the end of this I wish you all the best in finding your own paradigm that will bring you happiness, your own sense of value, and your own kind of "wealth".

The people in our country are being divided, name calling, lieing, attacking each other, with spots of violence showing up.

So, I decided to put together a list of beliefs that I see from the behavior of each faction in the news today.

Here goes......

Faction/Belief based on behavior.

Democrat: I'm a nice guy, but I'm too lazy to be one. I'm also not very motivated to work. If I could, I'd retire today and veg all day. So, I want our government to do my good deeds and take care of me. Then I can be free to do what I want to do.
Democrat (Leader): I'm the MaMa. I like taking care of people. It makes me feel needed. If I didn't do my job, then no one will like me and I'll be worthless.
Republican (In the house/senate): I'm too lazy to do the good deeds of others, they should do their good deeds themselves. I'm also against feeding lackeys.
Republican voter: Hey! I'm tired of being bombarded by laws I cannot understand and keeps me from pursuing my dreams. I want freedom and my time back. (Too much time wasted to understand and follow laws.)
Union member: It's a dog/eat/dog world. I'm going to do whatever it takes to survive, and that includes making sure I get what I want regardless of who I take it from.
Globalist: We'd have much less trouble in this world if there were no enemies. The only way we can do this fast is to make this world consist of only one governement that has absolute control over the behavior of everyone.
Tea Partier: I want to do what I want to do without anyone getting in my way. Don't go telling me how to do things and how to live. Get out of my face, don't take my stuff, and let me be me. I have a dream and I want to pursue it without complications imposed on my by others who don't understand what I'm doing. And it's MY MONEY... not yours!
Radical Muslim/Radical Islamist/terrorist: I'm a guy, I like sex, and I'm going to get it wherever I want, whenever I want no matter what. If you get in my way, I'll kill you. I'm speaking about permutations (convenient to an agenda) of the interpretations of the Koran (Qur'an.
Leftie: I'm a historian, and we need to give reparations to all the people we've cheated in the past.
Left Leadership: I like the power given to me from the people who trust me. If I give them everything I promised them, they won't need me anymore. So, I'll have to make sure they'll need me forever! (Good money in that!)
Corporate Leadership: I HATE MY JOB! (but I like the money.) What a nightmare! I've got to keep the investors happy, my employees happy, my wife happy, my children happy, my government happy AND compete with all my competitors, some of whom cheat!. I have to continuously be on the lookout for attacks from all sides, I have to deal with cheaters (China), politicians, problem employees, and unions. Why can't we just focus on keeping our customers happy so that they will buy our stuff? If they buy our stuff, we can provide better returns to our investors. But with the EPA, Unions, and IRS getting into our face, we can't do that. That's why I hate my job.

Is this a suicide note? Maybe, when we consider the mentality and recent behavior of the factions listed.

Let's all grow up, OK?

Here's a political post.... sorry.

There's this "thing" in my head that I cannot shake off.

It has to do with our white house doing an end-run around the congress and senate regarding the treatment of illegal immigrants. (The Dream Act)

Our Legislative branch is telling our law enforcement agents to NOT deport illegal immigrants unless they've committed a crime in the US.

This tells me that our white house just told our law enforcement to ignore federal law.

Since our legal system is based on precedence, we can assume that we also can ignore federal law without consequences.

So, all federal laws are no longer enforceable because of this precedence.

I'd appreciate your comments on this.

The Meaning of Life.

It is outside the bounds of religion, but is consistent with it.

The meaning of life is....

To exist for the purpose of improving the lives of others and of lives to come.

Notice: There is no SELF interest here.

But your interests will be served without your taking action to help your self interest.

(Yea, I KNOW. The more words spoken about this the more criticism I'll get.)

I'll give you my reasons now:

1) All of us have a survival instinct.
2) Our survival is enhanced, when we team up. (Like packs of wolves.)
3) We like to feel secure and our security is enhanced when we feel others will help us survive.
4) Our value in a group is dependent on what we can provide the group to help the group survive.

We can provide value in various ways. Here's a list of some of the values to provide.

Teach others how to provide value to the group. Farming, food preparation/preservation.
Provide shelter, warmth, food, basic needs.
Entertain to improve the psychology of the group.
Provide comfort to make existence more enjoyable.
Provide wonder and curiousness to spur improved means for survival.
Provide direction. Each group needs a goal. A future path built on past and present experiences.
The path being aimed at improved survival.

I think that covers it. Each value mentioned has many permutations.

Now, survival is also dependent on available resources.....

Here's where "group" must include to assemblages of groups. (Global Commerce.)

Math tells each group how many can be in the group to survive well on available resources.

I guess a population control mentality has to exist. Locally for now. Globally, later.

Think I'm tired now....

My Perfect USA

This idea has been noodling in my head and I can't stop thinking about it.

It involves the nasty politics, name calling, distrust, lobbying or lying with an agenda.

This current scenario doe not have to exist if we adjust a few things.

Presently, there are two main activities occurring in our society..

1) Productive Work: building houses, manufacturing products, providing services.

2) Non-productive work: Law enforcement, writing laws, collecting taxes, politics (Yes, all politicians try to get a bigger piece of the tax revenue pie.)

What would happen if our country focused all of its efforts on Productive Work, and eliminated as much Non-productive work as possible.

Here are some thoughts that I invite others to embellish upon.

1) Eliminate any tax responsibility from Corporations who hire people. (This would free up the money and non-productive time that corporations spend on tax accounting, tax lawyers, and all other the tax compliance issues. i.e. the employee would pay income taxes, flat rate, no sliding scale. Say 5% ????)

THINK OF CORPORATIONS AS HIRING MACHINES. That's their only job. That's it.

2) Corporations could not lobby for any special favors or consideration. In other words, if the company cannot provide a service that people want, they will have to adjust their business to supply what people DO want, else fail. No longer could companies come to Washington to lobby/ask for assistance. They are on their own.

This way, companies would no longer have a need to be "evil", there would be no advantage for them. In other words, they could focus all their time and resources to building their business and be competitive
( = more jobs. , more tax revenue)

3) The whole idea here is to create a demand for employees. If employees are in short supply, there will be competition between corporations to get them. This translates into higher pay for employees, training, health insurance, retirement benefits, and other perks to keep and make good employees. (Better perks = less dependence on Social Security and Medicare.)

Other thoughts....

If corporations did not have to deal with taxes, then overseas corporations would want to set up business here in our country = more employment for US citizens = more revenue for national security and major multi-state infrastructure.

States would have to compete for employees. In other words, those states that are more corporation/employee friendly would be more successful. This would engender a need for all States and corporations to compete against each other by improving their products, benefits, and productivity.

The dollar would be super strong, because it would represent real value made by PRODUCTIVE work, not debt or unfunded entitlements.

Corporations and employees will still be subject to the law. Environmental and employee protection laws would have to be in effect to prevent cheating the system.

ANY ACTION THAT CAUSES AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER OTHERS WOULD BE REGULATED.

There should be term limits for regulators:: Congressmen, senators, the president.
Each government job would have a defined and limited responsibility.

Harsh penalties for all cheaters.

Education would focus on entrepreneurship and creativity. Course schedules would be prioritized toward productive work. Laziness would be ridiculed.

Employees should realize that in order for them to be in demand, they will also have to compete against each other. In other words, they would be induced to improve their productivity and support the company to keep it competitive.

Arts flourish in productive societies. Arts are important for engendering creative solutions to current problems.

So..... noodle this in your head a little. I've heard a lot of good ideas from others that could fit into this paradigm and with a little more thought, we could have a society that eliminates much of our human suffering.

Population control? Hmmm.. think about this. If you have a child at age 20, you will be competing with them for your job when you're 44. Or, hows about this?

IDEA!

Did a light bulb ever go off in your head and you think its the best idea ever?

Well, I had one two days ago.

It is a way to get us out of our debt crisis.

Let's pass a bill that allows "the rich" and anyone else who employs people
to buy an exemption from filing and paying taxes.

Before you run away from the "smell", please read on.

Here's the situation.......

Corporations are holding onto capital and not hiring because they are unsure of the taxes they'll have to pay and new regulations they'll have to pay for.
Anyone who is in a business spends an inordinate amount of time trying to comply with (guess) 40,000 pages of tax code and the 14+ new regulations our legislators pass each week. They have to hire tax accountants, tax lawyers, lobbyists to get tax favors from the government, and spend money under the table to get our legislators to put special interest loopholes into the tax code, and on and on and on!!!
All of this is VERY Expensive, aggravating, time consuming, and non-productive work.
Corporations are finding it more profitable to outsource overseas because of the wages, taxes and regulations here in the U.S.

The "rich" are demonized because they "steal" the poor man's money by not paying them enough, by getting special favors from the government because they are "crooks",.. because they are "evil".
Many corporations HAVE TO be all of the above to be able to compete!
Ethical business owners suffer the most.
May the best CHEATER win. (Else go bankrupt.)
The primary "customers" of most large corporations are its stockholders. If you don't satisfy them, you're toast. So there's always going to be robbing from Peter to pay the stockholders
Overseas corporations avoid setting up production in the US because of the high taxes, high wages, and complex regulations.
Unions (which are no longer needed since there are regulations in place to make sure there's no more child/slave labor) fight the "evil" corporations for a piece of the pie that the corporation's need to pay the stockholders.

What if?

Corporations could eliminate their IRS burden and shift these expenses and focus into growing their corporation?
Corporations could change the work their tax attorneys, tax accountants, and lobbyists do into productive work instead of reactive work?
The small businessman would no longer have to be strapped with all of the regulations that the large corporations have to follow? A sole proprietor, single owner of corporation, LLC, or other business entity is responsible for the same 40,000+ and growing regulations as the big corporations are who can afford top notch tax attorneys, tax accountants, and lobbyists.
Companies overseas could come to this country and set up shop without fear of the IRS?
These companies didn’t have to be audited?
Our government wouldn’t have to spend a ton of taxpayer dollars to pay the wages of IRS agents?
Corporations could focus all of their time on new products, technologies, growth instead of wasting a significant portion of their efforts trying to comply with, getting around, or changing the tax laws?

Here’s my suggestion.

Pass a law that allows corporations to “buy” exemption from IRS regulations if they promise to re-invest their tax overhead expenses into job creation. This buyout could be an annual fee equal to historic tax compliance expenses.
All citizens are responsible for paying taxes in the form of a US sales tax? (Flat tax).
Or... more employees means more income tax revenue to fill government coffers.

Expected Benefits:

No one gets favored over another.
Corporations won’t be forced to cheat to survive and be able to compete. Their survival will be based on the products/services they offer.
Investment transferred into productive work would increase innovation and jobs.
Competition for employees would raise wages and benefits
.
Overseas investment would come to the US because of its business friendly atmosphere.
Increased productivity would bring more revenue to the government to pay for national defense and other things it is responsible for. (Which isn’t much, according to the constitution.)
Corruption would no longer be necessary. At least in the tax/favors area.
Special interests would no longer apply.
The playing field would be leveled naturally.
The term “cheaters never prosper” will become true again.
Fear of changed regulations would go away.

I know this is all pie in the sky...

but there's got to be at least one good idea in this mess.

Unlimited Green Energy Identified

I uncovered an unlimited source of energy that is totally "Green".

Problem is.... an unlimited source of electricity from a device with few working parts that will last a thousand or more years or more without maintenance will change our concept of economics. Money will no longer be a needed. (This is BIG.)

Imagine changing "work for pay" into "work for play". Everyone in our world could pursue what they want to pursue without needing money. Free food, free shelter, free cooling and heating, free everything. Free everything is possible now if we just do it.

My concern is how to introduce this source without impacting our current form of economics. Those in power must see how unlimited free energy will change everything to the good for them, too.

Food, water, pollution, wars, suffering, will no longer be a concern. I can see a society that looks forward to making or playing with the latest "toy". When the latest toy gets boring... no problem, just drop it into the "conveyor" sewer for recycling into a newer "latest" toy.

Unlimited free energy means salt water desalination, costless transportation, no-more "dirty jobs". Machines can be our labor force while we enjoy life as we choose.

I believe there will always be companies that will produce new products... not for pay, but for satisfaction and recognition.

I know this sounds stupid, but in Eric's Head, it's not.

I'm keeping this source under my hat until I can find someone who shares my vision and concerns on how to introduce this without causing harm to those caught up in our current form of "doing business."

P.S. I tried to share this discovery with our Department of Energy and asked for a contact to discuss the idea under confidentiality agreement. The answer I got was "Not my area of expertise. " (Our tax dollars at work!!!!!!!!)

Play with the concept of totally free, unlimited energy in your head for a while. Think machines, robots, separation plants, all on auto-pilot. It's a fun thing to do.

Whatever Happened to the Best Lie Detector?

Saw a tech program on TV about two years ago showing a new lie detector that could not be fooled.

It involved infra-red cameras measuring the temperature around the eyes. If someone lied, the temperature would go up... and there was no way to control the temperature rise.

They convincingly said it was an iron-clad way to tell if someone was lying.

I would think the TSA would be for that instead of feeling up fat old ladies or grumpy old men.

(Then, again, testosterone rules!)

Our Human Condition... Nothing is Perfect

We all have dreams of a world without war or disputes.

Our DREAM is to have everyone get along with each other, all enjoying singing "Kum Ba Ya" around a camp fire. Hugs and kisses for everyone.

Sounds GREAT!

Problem is:

17% of the human race is born without empathy.
20+ % are born with some form of insanity.

These statistics haven't changed in eons. (Although it's tempting to think they are changing now.)

This means there will ALWAYS be conflict. 17% of our world leaders have no empathy.
20+% are partially (if not totally) insane.

SOOOooooooo... We've GOT TO FACE THIS FACT

There will always be disputes, wars, injustices..... it's part of our human condition.

We must have our military and all the cloak and dagger stuff to survive.

Nothing is going to change that. (Except for ... maybe... electromagnet ear-muffs.... more later.)

Getting up in age.. (My Medicare Sign-up year... UGH! I'm a dead man now!)
I came to the realization that I'm a cranky old man.

Why do I say this?

Because I'm living in the past.

In the past:

1) A handshake was a contract. Each person lived up to their bargain.
2) We fulfilled our obligations.... BY OURSELVES.
3) If we over-promised... we took the hit and made sure what we promised was delivered.
4) A lie was on the top of the list as being the quickest path to hell.
5) We had empathy for others.
6) We lived in reality and faced the challenges it put in front of us.

Now I see:

1) A handshake means nothing.
2) We pass on our obligations to others.
3) We run and hide if we can't fulfill on our promises.
4) Lying is perfectly OK. I'm covered by the contract which says "no promises"
5) If I can pull one over on you, it's your fault.
6) Run away if things get too tough.

Nowadays I see:

- Kids are enticed to go in front of the "Idiot Box" to be entertained by "kill and destroy" video games. Remote killing/destroying without consequences... there goes empathy!

- Parents enjoy the time away from their TV watching kids by escaping into their own TV fantasy land. There goes time with nothing positive accomplished and no memories worth keeping.

I'm obsolete!

I guess it's time for our fantasy land generation to take over. It will be interesting to see how they survive passing the buck back and forth to each other, each blaming the other for their failures or problems.

I enjoy reality. It's invigorating! New challenges come every moment and solving them one at a time is gratifying. I pat my own back over and over again, and it feels good because I did it, by myself, without the help from others. My confidence grows. My independence grows, and my enjoyment of learning new things grows.

No one can compliment you better than yourself.

My Pinless Pinwheel Project

I finally got things right and launched my downloadable template product.

You ask, why would a person with a degree in chemistry be doing such a low tech thing?

Here's why.

This simple project teaches by example a lot of the fundamental concepts in physics, weather, adhesion, optics, yes... chemistry, lubrication (pencil lead anyone?), aerodynamics, the visible spectrum (What do you get if you mix yellow and red?), the refresh rate of your eyes...(frames per second)... i.e. how fast does this pinwheel have to spin before images start blurring?

There's also the development of eye-hand coordination, the satisfaction of producing something tangible, the ability (training) to read instructions.

Then there's the creative process that gets one involved in improving/modifying the design, graphic arts, beauty and design, art, and ergonomics.

Math gets involved when a 2 dimensional object is transformed into a 3 dimensional product...
i.e printing at 50% gives a product 1/4 the size of one printed at 100%.

Now here I go off on one of my tangents like video games.
Since space invaders, most video games involve destruction or killing of something, be it a zombie freako alien, or drag racer.

Now I'm wondering if the people who spend a lot of time killing and destroying with a joystick lose empathy for others.

I wonder if the "pilots" of the drone planes that remotely kill Taliban or Al Qaeda feel any guilt or remorse of feelings about killing?

This simple Pinless Pinwheel project deals with reality... it makes reality pleasant and rewarding. No destruction, no killing, no fantasy, no running away from reality by diving into fantasy.

Truth Squads

I'm not alone. I hear of many people, like myself, that are victims of fraud, lies, half-truths, and theft.

Our nation is in a turmoil. Some say our problems are the result of conspiracies, I tend to agree.

When I see the brainless, mind numbing, ridiculous issues being discussed, the idiotic programming available on TV, the laws in place that help the fraudsters, not the victims, the complexity of our tax system, the thousands of viruses, spywares, trojan horses, and other malicious code which for some reason our operating systems cannot stop, is there anyone honest anymore?

I get crazy when I think about how I have an extremely hard time to find an honest person. Honest people get rarer every day.

So, here's my crazy thought.

We need TRUTH SQUADS.

Here's what they'll do.

1) First verify the truthfulness of all in their group.
2) Plan strategies to get spies (moles) into every group where there's leadership and take video and record what's being said and shown in these groups.

In other words, infiltrate and destroy dis-honesty from within... like the commies have been doing to us for over 60 years.

Our country is in trouble and needs a conscience. The only way to put conscience into anyone is to let them know they are being watched and no one wants to be caught being dis-honest.

We don't need a national organization. We need independent Truth Squads all over.

From within, invisible, tattle-tales... Yup... we are at war, and war needs good strategy, and war goes by different rules that are not "politically correct."

I listen to the news about this push to allow gays to be openly recognized in the military.

This is a conundrum in my head... here's why.

Whenever you're in a public place and mother nature calls you what do you do?

Yup, you try to find a rest room.

When you find a restroom, what choices do you have?

1) Men's
2) Women's
3) Unisex... which is a small room with a lock on it for privacy.

Why these choices?

My understanding is the choices are there because people want to keep sexual (and bodily function) privacy.

A woman doesn't want any old man lust over her privates and ...

a man doesn't want any old woman lust over his privates.

Now, we've got a dilemma..

A "good looking" gay doesn't necessarily want an "ugly" gay drooling over his privates.

I expect bi-sexuals and lesbians would also appreciate discretion.

So now we have our military.

It's been developed to be mobile, lean, and mean.

Setting up a base needs to be fast and efficient.

Building a ship requires speed (as small a size as possible.), and compactness so that the maximum force can be delivered per mission.

Now, the consequences of getting rid of the don't ask, don't tell policy.

1) The straight troops won't want to go into the standard (efficient) ten toilet seats in a row outhouse used on most bases. Why? Because an open gay would be there exposing his privates and lusting after yours. (i.e. the straight would be brought into the situation. This distracts two troops instead of just one.)

2) The gays, lesbians, and bi-sexuals would be lusting over each other's privates which will distract them from focusing on their mission. If one doesn't know the proclivity of the other, then there won't be two brought into the distraction from their mission.

If don't ask, don't tell is eliminated there will have to be privacy stalls installed into all the outhouses... more weight to transport, more expense, less mobility, a weaker military.

Going further... all public places will have to modify their restrooms from multiple stall rooms to individual "unisex" (one person at a time) rooms to assure the privacy of attendees. Very costly, especially where crowds assemble.

My take.

Keep sexual preferences private in public places.

Ignorance is bliss and no psychological damage will be done to anyone regardless of sexual proclivity.

Keep Don't Ask, Don't tell. It will keep things a whole lot simpler.

If DADT goes away, we'll need TSA agents at each restroom door to make sure no one is cheating!

anyone I email or who emails me have no problem communicating, but anyone who took my money in exchange for services seems to have all kinds of email problems.
my family and friends with whom I communicate with have very few "crisis" problems, but those who I hired to do something for me have all kinds of personal and professional crises that stop them from delivering on their commitments to me?
that there's no way you can get off a call list and the script "I'm calling you because you asked for information about generating an income from home." hasn't changed?
that nothing works these days.. government doesn't work, people don't work, honesty doesn't work, products don't work, pills don't work.
what is the truth one day is a lie the next. (Re: Global Warming)
prisoners have better benefits and facilities than honest folk in nursing homes?
laws favor crooks over honest folk?

Woke up a little while ago and in this wake-up stupor.

Here's some stupid questions to myself...

Reason? To get me out of the box.

1) How many photons does it take to make an electron (proton - Duhhh!?)? Where does the magnetic part go? (Wikipedia "Magnetic moment of an electron")
2) How fast does a black hole spin? How fast does a proton spin? How fast does an electron spin?
3) Photon = electro and magnetic.. believed to be at 90 degrees. re: index of refraction.
4) Drum fish, earth's central heating? Mother of radio activity? a resonance thing?
5) Again, similarity between proton and black hole.. a quantum dilemma?
6) Spin effects, distance relationships
7) Is a spin induced during the release of a photon?
8) Where does the magnetic part of the photon come from when a photon is released by quantum collapse of electron "orbit"? Does it come from the electron when its orbit switched to a lower level? Does this mean that the electron is now smaller?

(I'm liking the idea of getting rid of the discrete particle "electron" and call the area around a proton as being a degree of charge... jumper cables anyone?)

Tons more stupid questions... any help here?

Gravity Explained - (Continued)

Earlier, I posted a goofy diagram describing (in 2D) how I believe gravity works.

So, today, I listened to a program that described "The Hutchison Effect".

I can't believe that even this effect that uses an electrostatic field at a certain intensity and frequency (derived from those Tesla coils that were modified so they wouldn't spark like in the Frankenstein movies) fits my definition of gravity. In my mind, there's no holes in my theory yet!

Pluses and minuses.. that's all there is. (Sorry CERN.)

Now, the current Hutchinson Effect work is done using resonant frequencies which makes the effects from using it somewhat unpredictable. The result is that the effects seen are mis-interpreted and I feel John Hutchison saw the results, but doesn't quite understand what happened. This led him to (perhaps) obsessing over maintaining his credibility and his desire to reproduce the effect to save his name as well as the importance of his discovery. (Of course, there's the "TOP SECRET" government shutdown theory, too.)

Although fantastic claims of "anit-gravity", "free energy", "The Philadelphia Experiment", disappearance, melting, splintering, etc. claimed to be seen from the experiment, I can understand why the results can vary so much based on my theory of gravity.. i.e. proton shielding of the electron cloud surrounding the assembly of "atoms".

What hit me was that all the six claimed effects FIT with my theory. What are the odds of six claims fitting with my theory? An external electrostatic field which repels the external electrostatic field of all things assembled.

Here's my suggestions to John Hutchison.

1) Repeat the experiment in a vacuum to eliminate density fluctuations in the air as well as eliminate pathway interferences.

2) Don't use resonant frequencies... you have to go much higher so that there's an exact match between the wavelength used and the distance between the "electron" and "proton". Try to keep the frequency as constant as possible.

3) Focus on very fast switching, i.e. eliminate surges when the device is activated. The intensity of the field used can manifest all the claims mentioned: melting, shattering, floating, disappearing.

4) Do the experiments in complete darkness and at temperatures as cold as possible to get away from constructive/destructive interferences from the electromagnetic spectrum and "inter-atom" distance fluctuations.

i.e. Try to control the electron cloud as precisely as possible.

(My mind now floats to the magnetic part of the electromagnetic spectrum and how the free energy part comes into play... hmmmm.... Wondering now if magnetic fields were included in any of the experiments... Coral Castle?)

(Other thoughts.. which are dumb even to me right now.. but I'll share them. Energy = Mass times the speed of light cubed? ... would that account for "dark energy"?) (Could the expansion of the universe be driven by electrostatic repulsion?)

I was wrong in my original post. (Listed below).

The experts I asked were clueless on this.

But, I can't let a mystery be left unsolved.

And the solution was SOoooo simple! UGH!

Here's how I solved it...........

I searched for the bogus email address mentioned in my original post on google, 235 sites showed up.

So I looked in the source code of the page (doing a CTRL-F) where I found the bogus email address and found it .

Then I searched on Google for the code just before the bogus email and ended up with the script code that I searched for.

Found out the script was to mask text so that spammers cannot copy the text email address when they scan text on sites for the @ sign.

Google found only around 400 sites using the script.

I was scammed again! By a "not then but now" recognized Scam Site.

I'm too embarrassed to mention what it was and how much I spent with these guys, but they're still around.

Here's what happened....

I decided to follow-up with these guys for not getting the results they promised me... i.e. NO RESULTS! (Sound familiar?)

Went to their contact page to email them as well as call them. There was a "Contact Us" clickable email link, but I didn't want to deal with the more-often-than-not "mailto:blahblahblah@blahblahblah.com" and decided to copy and paste the email address mentioned in the text of the page.

So I copy the text "blahblahblah@blahblahblah.com" and paste it into the Sent To line in Outlook. What pasted was "moc.ytiuqeknile@ecivresremotsuc" , tried again by copying the blahblah email address as above and pasting it into NotePad.... same thing!

So I call the company, talked with their poor support person, she did it from her machine and got the SAME RESULT!

So... I'm thinking (Dangerous)... Was this company's poor performance due the their dishonesty or due to some ("unknown to the virus/spyware" companies) hi-jacking virus of people's sales.

Then the question is... "Where is this money going?"

Is the 99% of people who fail on the internet being ripped off? Is that one reason why there's such a high failure rate?

Don't know, but I sent an alert to the WebRoot guys to check it out...

If I find out what's going on, I'll let you know.

Sent this letter to a nationally syndicated doctor... who I disagree with.

Dear Dr. .........,

I worked for an international company in their Research and Development department.
Because I was a chemist, the company had to give me physicals every year.

About mid-way during my career, I was told to watch my diet because my cholesterol was high.
So I did the margarine (bad advice), low saturated fat diet recommended to me by my/their doctors.

Also took up exercising (jogged 5 miles, 3 time/week). Fractured a disk doing this healthy thing... had to stop. Pain for 25 years now.

During these endeavors, my cholesterol went UP!

One morning, I complained to my wife that I didn't like the margarine on my toast. She said, "Then use butter, it's not much." So I did...

The results of the next physical was a surprise! For the first time in years, my cholesterol was down... even though I stopped exercising months earlier.

Then I complained about breakfast not sticking till noon, so I decided to have eggs for breakfast.
Next physical... again... my cholesterol went down! (Was still too high though.)

So My doctor(s) gave up on diet alone management of cholesterol and put me on Provocol. I did not want to have a heart attack.

About 4 years into the Provocol routine, I started noticing that my memory was going, especially my short term memory.

I was scared!

Here I had a technical job that required sharp thinking and I felt like I was getting Alzheimer's FAST! Can you imagine my fears trying to provide for my wife and daughter?

So I (and many others according to the newspaper clipping) am adversely affected by statins.

Here's my theory on cholesterol.

It's needed by your body to fight off infections.
Your brain is built with it.
The liver pumps out cholesterol at night, only 10% of the cholesterol in your blood can come from diet.
I believe the liver over-reacts to not having enough cholesterol in your diet... much like the pancreas panics when sugar level is too high so it pumps out too much insulin. The panicked liver over-reacts from low blood levels of cholesterol and pumps out too much cholesterol.

Two things will keep my cholesterol down... 1) Staying away from sugars and simple carbohydrates. 2) Eat some saturated fats... not a lot, just what your body tells you to.

So this business as to WHEN to take statins is a diversion from the truth.... DON'T EVER TAKE STATINS.

Here I sit with a college degree in Organic Chemistry which means I passed calculus, thermodynamics, and all the other "difficult" courses to get it.

So why do I catch myself with these "DUHHHhhh" moments?

Case in point.

I like to use hand crank can openers. I've been wrestling with my favorite can opener for the past two months trying to get a clean cut without having to bend the cut out lid back and forth to break the lid away from the can. The can opener was wearing out.

So, today, I came up with the "Brilliant" idea of trying to cut off the lid from the side.... VOILA! Works perfectly, lid comes off clean, although I do get a sharp edge... I can deal with that.

Another Case in point.

I've been scammed more often than I like to tell. I trust people, especially the ones who are "family men" and "live by christian principles." I get called at least twice a day by telemarketers asking me if I would like to make money from home.

I try to be polite to the person who calls me, because he/she are just working folks trying to make a living and deserve the respect of anyone willing to work.

But the "manager/account executive/qualifier" gets my candidness.

So, here's what I "discovered" today.

Instead of them sending me their "you can't touch me if I gyp you out of all your money" invoices that they want me to sign right away or lose the "discount/bonus/whatever", I ask them for a copy of their Contract for my lawyer to look over before I decide to do business with them.

So far, three out of three hangups. (Tee Hee)

Big Business uses contracts that they have their lawyers and financial executives go over before making any purchase decisions. I should have been keenly aware of this, but for some reason, the thought didn't occur to me because of the different environment I'm in now.

(This makes me think about how my mind processes memories. Why is it easy for me to recognize and name everyone at work (when I worked), but can't quite remember their name if I meet them "out of context?")

Anyway... Lessons for today are"

1) Cut the side of the can, not the top.

2) Ask for a contract or documents a new opportunity promoter requires you to sign first and tell "them" you'll have your lawyer and chief financial officer go over it before you make a decision.

Here's my thought entertainment for the day

What happens if you link these two ideas together?

2) "Information Overload"

Years ago now, a friend of mine showed me one of his prized possessions.
It was a text book that was used in the mid-1800's.
I looked at the book which had Reading/Writing/Arithmetic in it and I was surprised to see the level of teaching that was done. The lessons were not "Lite", they were heavy duty for grade school level. I look at today's textbooks, they look heavy duty, but when I help students with their homework I see that they are what I'd call "brain dead". Few questions, extremely simple, and unimportant. More like Trivia questions.

I hear complaints about ADHD and how hard it is for teachers to handle students and reflect on my school years. At that time there weren't calculators, no computers, no internet, and a Black and White attenna'd TV.

I can't remember anyone in my classes that exhibited ADHD behaviour. There were no Drugs for handling ADHD because it didn't exist.

So what happened between then and now?

Here's a theory for you.

School Children today have access to the latest technologies: X-Boxes, High Speed Internet, Fantastic Graphics on TV, computers in the classroom. They are bombarded from little on with pictures. (each worth a thousand words.) Computer video is 30 pictures per second... hmmm... let's see 30,000 pictures per second.

Our brain is fantastic, it can process that much information that fast. But what is this fast processing doing to our brain?

Are our brains getting addicted to information? If we don't get information at the rate we normally get, does our brain get bored and start looking for more information?

If the information doesn't come fast enough, we'll look for ways to feed the addiction = distraction.

Addictions are interesting. There's all kinds of addictions created by repetition.

People can get addicted to: water, eating, smoking, drinking, TV, Twitter, extreme sports, and drugs (of course). My friend is addicted to Mountain Dew. Heard of Coca Cola addicts too. My addictions included Laffy Taffy, JuJuBees, and salted pumpkin seeds. Rignt now I'm addicted to potato chips. I can last about a week before the urge get's unbearably uncomfortable.

So what? You say?

We can go with the flow and adjust our teaching methods to conform to high speed thought. Or we can fight it and still try to teach our children with the methods we used 30 years ago.

Gravity Explained? A really DUMB theory.

I watch the Science/Discovery channels and see all this "String Theory" stuff. The eminent physicists of the day present in awesome graphics their pursuit to understand things like "the big bang" and smashing atoms and seeing "quarks", and "charm" and "bosons"....etc.

Why all this hoopla? To get money for a cushy job? Wow factor = $$$$$$$?

One of the things that our eminent scientists can't understand is gravity. Why did the apple fall on Newton's head? (Just kidding.)

I have my own theory on gravity and it's much simpler to understand than trying to understand "vibrations" and all that.

Here goes....

Gravity to me is caused by electron shielding and is electrostatic in nature. (Ever rub a balloon on your hair, then stick it to the ceiling?)

Looking at the picture below you'll see a familiar concept... electrons have a negative charge, protons a positive charge. Negative charges repel other negative charges, whereas negative charges attract positive charges.

Look at the central atom in this picture. It involves a positively charge proton in the middle (red and way off scale) surrounded by an electron. (The electron is herding the positive charges in the nucleus like a sheep dog..)

The atoms surrounding the central atom also have electrons surrounding it, however, these electrons are repelled by the electrons of the central atoms and hide in the shadow of the surrounding atoms. This leaves one side of the surrounding atoms with a net positive charge which is attracted by the electrons of the central atom. (Polar forces.) This attraction between atoms daisy chains and causes other atoms in the neighborhood to attract. The result is coalescing of atoms into particles into planets into galaxies... etc.

I could get into this more... (Quantum theory, photons, probability of an electron being in a certain position, ....) but to me the principle is the same. All matter is pure energy and all we have to understand is where the energy (+'s and -'s) comes from.

Some day we'll build a machine that not only smashes atoms, but smashes subatomic particles as well. I expect what we will find out at the end of all this study is pluses and minuses.

Way Off the Deep End Today - A really dumb Spew.

Insanity comes occasionally... where did this one start? Don't know... but here goes (It's in my head.. gotta get it out... OOOOoooohh I'm SOooooo Embarrassed!)

Thinking of ants right now. I used to watch ant wars when I was a kid and the red ants were attacking the red ants. Why? I think. Hmmm... could it be because of resources?

OK, so now comes the tectonic plates thing...

We humans fertilize our crops... the rain comes and flushes away anything water soluble (including nutrients) and sends it downstream into the ocean where the plankton and other critters eat it, make their shells, die, sink to the bottom of the ocean where they are trapped and eventually sub ducted under another continental plate for a gazillion years, or so.

This tells me that our thin skinned earth is continually being depleted of nutrients and that there will only be a certain amount of nutrients available at any given time.

Not enough for EVERYTHING to survive comfortably (plants included.)

So our "beautiful" mother nature has an insidious side. Plants kill other plants to get sunlight, ants kill other ants to get food, people kill other people to get "resources".

Cats terrify their prey by playing with them before the kill.

How cruel is that mom?

You have NO IDEA where I'm going... read on to a WHACKO end.

I really lost it today! I'm going to wax philosophic.

Thinking about why we humans are in the condition we're in.

Here are some thoughts that I'll vehemently disagree with in about 10 minutes.

The prior paragraphs painted a reality.

Survival is the only thing driving the dynamics of life. It's amazing how many different ways survival manifests itself: massive amounts of offspring, venoms, speed, camouflage, size, fur, .......

We, being humans, like to think of ourselves as being on the top of the survival scheme... we got BRAINS!!!!

Brains dealing with "limited" resources. Hmmm.

So, what do we do with our brains?

Of course, we think of survival! Some of us do well with the survival condition... others don't.

Societies tend to survive well.

People with a sense of "identity/place/purpose" seem to survive well.

But there's "limited" resources: land, food, attention, recognition, stature,.....

Thinking about my current endeavor got me here.

Here I am, trying my darndest to make sure this is a win/win proposition for everyone I introduce this to... else, I won't do it.

Then these crazy thoughts came into my head which made me realize... yes it is.

So is selling rats-on-a- stick.

It all depends on our view of the world and our survival comfort zone.

If we can undeniably see that selling rats on a stick will improve our ability to survive, we'll do it.

If we can undeniably see that we can make our "society" survive better, we'll do it. (Remember? Society = group = practices that improve the survival of its members = armies = knowledge = common purpose = politics.)

I truly love humans and am delighted in the happiness some of us possess. I am also devastated by those less fortunate. Can you imagine being born in a cardboard shack and growing up learning the survival tactics for that environment?

We are all slaves to the "identity" given to us or that we give to ourselves.

Here's some identities popping off the top of my head: cool, strong, smart, rich, poor, disadvantaged, good, bad, clever, creative, persecuted, gullible, honest, caring, beautiful, ugly, fat, thin. We can even put -"est" on these words if we choose.

So... here's my net/net.

We all need to be recognized for something. We all need an identity. We all have this yearning to be heard. We all need to make a difference. I'm not immune to any of these feelings... I'm human, too. So are you.

Here's my message.

Our standard of survival doesn't need to include "-est".

Another thought? Our condition is an artifact of the influences others impress upon us in their effort to be heard/recognized.

Yet another thought. There's a million ways Mom Nature shows us how to survive. Some cushy, some not-so-cushy.

Why not survive cushy? Easy to do when you realize that beliefs, actions, and identities influence how well we survive.

In my research on my current endeavor I realized that success breeds envy, criticism and not-so-honorable competition. At the end of the day I netted out that my current endeavor is honorable and worthwhile to pursue. (This is an ad... yet, again, not.)

I've been told this from day one and I tend to forget that there are indeed evil people in this world. Evil without even knowing it sometimes.

Case in point...

Internet Business Owner #1: "Always provide more value than what you sell."

Internet Business Owner #2: "Sell the "Opportunity", sell the "Dream, That's what they're paying for" ... "Everyone knows that's the way it is. Do you really think people don't know that they'll NOT get what they're paying for? ..that they're paying for the dream?"

Believe it or not... heard these two arguments from two different people from the same company! And they both believe this "in thier heart".

Needless to say, it's a dog-eat-dog out there. Unethical people will lie, cheat, trick, and steal for the almighty dollar at the expense of honest folks. And they're good at it.

So what can an honest person do to find out the truth? Not much these days. Evil people have lawyers, too.

Useful Idiots

Stalin liked youth.. called them useful idiots.

Wrote an email to my nephew last night. I spewed during the stupor of insomnia.
During my spew I realized I should explain something that all parents and teachers should know.

Here it is in a nutshell.... "We all grow up"

What does this mean? (Get ready for a longie.)

We are born with only part of our brain developed. It takes 25 years (+/- 6 years) for this to happen.

During this stage of brain development we acquire certain abilities in our thinking power. I want to relate what I learned in a college course called "Human Development"

Part 1. Growing Up

Just out of the womb, we can't see. We depend on our parents to protect and feed us. As time goes on, we slowly acquire the ability to control our body, crawl, walk, talk....

Can youth think? Not in the same way as adults can...

Case in point.......

A toddler who just learned to walk walks up to a coffee table having two identical glass candy dishes on it side by side. The toddler grabs for one of the dishes and daddy says "NO NO NO! Don't touch that, it'll fall on the floor and break! You'll cut your feet." The toddler realizes at that point that that candy dish is a NO NO. The other identical dish next to it is still "Fair Game"... there is no "NO NO" on that one.

What I'm trying to say is that children cannot think abstractly (= If this...then that.)
Why can't they think abstractly? Because they do not have that part of the brain needed to think abstractly. Children under the age of 12 (average) learn Yes/No rules. They collect rules as they grow up and decide whether they will obey or disobey them.

Infants need to be self centered.... Me Me Me! It's their best way to survive. This self-centeredness will very slowly decrease throughout life. (Even 50 year olds have quite a bit of self-centeredness in them.)

The miracle of our lives is that we progress through several standard processes that prepare us for life, from the wildly imaginary (and undoable) fantasies of a child to the miraculous inventions of our time.

At about age 12, the cerebral cortex (the abstract thinking part of the brain) begins to form. By age 13 a teen will begin this mental high of 'Hey! If this then THAT! WOW!'

These WOW's will make them think they're smarter than their parents who just know Yes/No rules...ugh!

The insanity begins.....

As the cerebral cortex grows, the portion of the brain (the amygdala as I was taught) that controls behavior in a teen causes the teen to favor two main drives... pro-creation and being a member of a group. (Remember, the cerebral cortex is not all there yet so the ability to foresee consequences of action isn't well developed at all... almost like being able to plan only one move ahead in checkers... not 10 like an adult can.)

Teens and early 20's are certifiably insane years. These years are filled with ME ME ME with enough intelligence to get into trouble. Teens can be great liars and not-so-good planners. They know right from wrong... but anything goes to get their way.

My advice.. keep teens on a tight leash. Satisfy their urge to pro-create by promoting art, hobbies, something productive AND make sure the "GROUP" is the family... i.e. We're Smith's, Smith's don't do that.

So how does Stalin get involved in this? Stalin knew young adults were insane, gullible, couldn't see consequences of action very well, and could be convinced easily into doing almost anything. Hitler used this on his Hitler Youth. Our own armed forces use young soldiers because they make the best fighters... i.e. they think they're immortal and will be more easily ordered to face enemy fire and take a hill.

There are all kinds of psychological and medical studies published on the internet that will re-enforce what I'm saying here. See if you can find Harvard Medical School's sugar metabolism brain scans of brain development with age... really cool. (I'm not giving you a link here because I want you to see for yourself and (ugh) think.

Overpopulated? I think not.

I did some thumbnail calculations tonight and this is what I found out.

Let's say we have 6.5 billion people in this world.
If we placed all 6.5 billion people in this world in one place where each one occupied 21 square feet lying down (3ft. x 7 ft.) they would occupy ONLY 233 square miles.
Let's say we use all of our currently cultivated land for food. (6,679,143 sq. mi.)
This will equal 0.65764 acres per person cultivated land.
Let's say each person requires 2200 calories worth of food per day to survive.
This means each person will need 803,000 calories per year to survive.
If we can grow 26,500 pounds of potatoes per acre, this means 0.65764 acres can produce 5,533,463 calories per year. THAT's MORE THAN 803,000 calories!

So my point is this.

The sun can produce many more calories per acre than we need for food.
Cultivated land area can be increased by adding things like irrigation and making our unproductive land into productive land by using things like desalination plants (like Israel does), and doing other things. (See http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/Arable_land for more examples.)
There's still plenty of unused fertile land we can use to produce food.
I didn't count anything we can get from the oceans and lakes.

We, as humans, like to aggregate into cities. This means what we see is "overpopulation" and start thinking there's too many people on this planet.

Let me know how you feel when your out in the vast wilderness areas left in this world that's not used for anything.... you'll start wishing there were more people around.

The total land area of the earth is 57,506,059 square miles.

How can 233 square miles of ANYTHING affect global ANYTHING!

The world has a surface area of 196,939,911 square miles. (i.e. the population occupies only 233/196,939,911 th of the worlds surface area.

That's only 0.000118% that we occupy! Do you really think we have any power to affect anything?

What should we concentrate on for our own good?

1) Food Preservation and transportation.
2) Fuel Production (Just to make life easier and to transport food.)

If the world economy goes down the tubes... we'll all be OK
If we could learn to get along with each other...we'd have paradise on earth for many billions of years to come. (As long as we take care of what we got. And we've got plenty.)

GULF WAR SYNDROME AND THE SKY TEST?

Saw a TV program discussing the GULF WAR SYNDROME.

What I got from this show was truly amazing to me.

Here's what I found out.....

1) Everyone's GULF SYNDROME is different so it's hard to determine the exact cause of the complaints our returning veterans have regarding their illness(es).

2) Although I've heard the "conspiracy theorists" talk about the cause and coverup as being depleted uranium, I wanted to wait until the verdict was out.

Depleted uranium is used as armor on our tanks and I believe is also used on armor peircing rockets because it is so hard. When the depleted urnanium is blown-up all kinds of particles are produced which have enough residual radioactivity that the dust can cause chromosomal damage. This dust is breathed in, swallowed, and ends up all over inside the body.

Here's how I see how it works. Our 24 chromosomes regulate how our body functions. They are long strands of DNA that contain instructions for our cells to use to do things like reproduce, how to structure cell membranes to imbibe nutrients and eliminate waste,... chromosomes regulate everything that supports our body.

The residual radiation breaks up these long strands of DNA into peices that float around and can re-assemble with parts from other damaged DNA strands. The result is some chromosomes that are mixed up, can re-produce, and give wrong signals to cells as to how to function properly. The result is a menagerie of cells reproducing and doing the wrong thing! Because of this, there are all kinds of damages being done, some relatively benign, some devasataing (like cancer).

These cells reproduce for the rest of your life which means they do damage for the rest of your life.

2) NOW THE BIG CONNECTION!

Doctors measuring chromosomal damage done by depleted uranium casually used chromosomal damage done by "chemotherapy" as a standard to determine if depleted urnanium damage to the chromosomes was as bad as or worse than the damage done by "chemotherapy".

They use the "SKY" test to measure chromosomal damage.

Immediately I realized that the CAT Scans I get to monitor my cancer (the Dioxin kind) is the "chemotherapy" they're talking about. i.e. monitoring my cancer is giving me Gulf War Syndrome! (That's why "What's in Eric's Head is what's in Eric's head!)

So... are the "conspiracy theorists" wrong? Right now, I don't think so.

Why We Believe What We Believe

Why do Jihadists believe what they believe. Why do we believe what we believe?

We're all born as tape recorders. Our experiences are recorded based on what we see,

feel, smell, taste, and touch. Our beliefs are based on what we're told. The old addage "Garbage-in...Garbage-0ut" is true for everyone.

Even our most revered leaders have some "garbage" programmed into their beliefs
Nothing is perfect and will never be.

The purpose for this blog is to get you to think about your beliefs. Where did they come from? Who put them there? Was there a purpose for someone influencing you in a
certain way? (Are you being programmed to strap a bomb onto yourself and blowing yourself up? Did your teachers do it? Hmmmmm.....)

Global Warming

We've all heard about global warming. Are we responsible? Don't know yet.

Does global warming exist.....Yes, but so does global cooling sometimes.

Here's what I've heard..

We are spewing out carbon dioxide like it's going out of style. Our plants and plankton can't absorb the CO2 as fast as we and our volcanoes spew it out. So, the level of CO2 raises with a consequential warming of our planet.

Our earth goes through natural processes and there were times on our planet when CO2 levels were much higher than they are now. The earth was much colder and warmer than it is now.

One theory about global warming states that these hot/cold spells are dependent on the orientation of the earth's axis relative to the sun as it is traveling around the sun in its elliptical path. So, sometimes, the summer orientation also happens to coincide with when the earth is closest to the sun. VOILA!, its hotter in the summer = more snow melt=more dark ground exposed = more methane released from permafrost = more greenhouse gases = warmer planet.

Our solar system travels around the galaxy askew from what's called the galactic plane. This means that the solar system will cross the galactic plane twice on its journey around our galaxy. The galactic plane has different forces at play; I'm thinking a more directional gravitational tug from the stars that are in the plane. So, what happens to the sun when it crosses the galactic plane... it's stretched. The internal structure of the sun changes with a resultant increase in nuclear activity... i.e. the sun warms up! (Like mixing around embers in a campfire.) Our earth will be at the center of the galactic plane circa 2012. (Hmmm! Mayan Calendar?)

There's evidence that our whole solar system is warming up... not just the earth. The polar ice caps on Mars are melting, the frozen moons around Saturn and Jupiter are melting, Pluto is warming up.

We know just enough to be dangerous.

My opinions, comments and suggestions are these....

All of the above are responsible to some degree.

What a GREAT! way to spawn new technologies to sell. Selling the same old thing with modifications is getting boring to me. Thanks Al Gore!

Create a nuclear winter (not my idea) not on earth (my idea), but in orbit between the earth and the sun. Place it and size its particles so that the solar wind will push it out of the way when we won't need it anymore.

Fertilize the plankton in our oceans so that they absorb more
CO2, create more limestone, and sink.

Let's start shifting our economics so that we can painlessly use "Free Energy" (more on this later.)

Let's start reducing our population so that we produce less CO2. (more on this later - remember, a economic and human friendly way.) If none of us had babies, we'd all be gone in 100 yrs.

Is the Iraq War Justified?

This is a tough question. So.. let's look at both sides.

Side one - Yes

Let's pose some questions.

1) How many Iraquis died daily under Saddam Hussein?
2) When all is said and done, will the Iraquis be better off after the conflict?
3) With oil as a major concern in our world, do we want that oil under the control of other nations?
4) What other nation is willing to let the Iraqi people to keep their revenue from oil?
5) With all the oil Iraq has, won't Iraq eventually be as rich as Dubai?
6) Wouldn't it be nice if the US had a base convenient to the tumultuous middle east?
7) Don't more Iraqis want to be free than under the control of radical Islam?
8) Are we willing to let millions of innocent be slaughtered while we pull out?
9) Didn't Iraq hold down the ambitions of Iran? Don't we still need to hold Iran's ambitions at bay?
10) Doesn't the Iraq conflict keep the terrorists off our shores?

If the answers to these questions are: 1= thousands(average), 2= yes, 3= no, 4= none, 5=yes, 6= yes, 7= yes, 8= no, 9= yes. Then the Iraq war is justified. 10=yes.

Side 2 = No, the Iraq war is not justified.

1) Doesn't the Iraq war weaken our forces?
2) Is the US just there "for the oil?"
3) Is the threat of terrorism a political play?
4) Are more terrorists being made because of this conflict?
5) The Iraqi people can take care of themselves and will accomplish peace between their warring factions.
6) President Bush got us into this war, not because of weapons of mass destruction but because he wanted to finish what his dad started. (Saddam tried to have Bush's daddy assassinated.)
7) The weapons manufacturers promote this war because they can make a lot of money.
8) Do the Iraquis resent being force fit into a society they don't want? (Capitalism.)
9) Does Iraq want us out?

If the answers are 1=yes, 2=yes, 3=yes, 4=yes, 5=yes, 6=yes, 7=yes, 8=yes, 9=yes then
the Iraq war is unjustified.

As I look at these two scenarios, I want to think the Iraq war was justified. I feel there are fewer Iraqi people dieing today, even under war conditions, than died or were tortured under Saddam Hussein. I also feel there were weapons of mass destruction (you can find sites on the internet that have maps showing where they are.) Russia supplied them and helped Saddam move them to Syria and bury them in Iraq near the Syrian border. Do we really want to finger Russia as the culprit behind Iraq's WMDs? That's a war we don't want to start!

6/1/2007 Just heard another reason why we got into the Iraq war. Regardless of some of the supposedly inaccurate reasons why we got into the war, the war was inevitable because Saddam Hussein kept defying U.N. Sanctions. The course was set and Iraq had to be dealt with. In other words, sanctions didn't work, the inspections were interfered with, and in the end, Iraq had to be dealt with. (Remember Kuwait?)

Our world is different now. One of the tactics of war is the spread of mis-information. We can be led down a path that is directed by our enemies that sounds so very convincing (with forgeries of "official documents", carefully edited videos, and outright lies). Look at this website and look at the headlines. There is an overall picture that comes out that leads me to believe we're being fooled by carefully crafted "news". Doesn't the progression seem kinda weird to you?

Conspiracies? YOU BETCHA! Are they true? YOU BETCHA Do they have an impact? YOU BETCHA.... BUT.... doable? NOT A CHANCE! Our government is too big to keep any conspiracy under wraps. How can we keep a conspiracy secret with circa 21 million government employees involved? Especially when most government employees are honest, dedicated, responsible, fine people.

I hate the idea that we lost circa 4000 of our troops in the 4+ years of the war, but I wonder how many Americans would be dead if we didn't focus the terrorists away from our shores.

(We lost more than 50,000 US troops in Vietnam in a shorter period of time.)

I lost a brother in Vietnam and it took me decades to bring my grief to a manageable level so I empathize with all of our patriotic families who lost loved ones in Iraq. May they always be remembered in history as heroes.

INTRODUCTION

We all have an incomplete understanding of why things are the way they are. Our perception of reality is based on our experiences and our limited ability to sense our surrounding environment.

Is the Iraq war justified?
Who's responsible for global warming?
Why do Jihadists believe what they believe.
Why do we believe what we believe?
Is our government really corrupt?
Is there really a conspiracy driving the news?
Why is my teenager being so hard to control?
Is there such a thing as "Free Energy"?
How can we control world population? (I have a humanitarian way to do it.)
Will we survive?
Is there a God?

This list goes on and on.

I have thoughts about all of these issues and am constantly trying to keep on top of them.
Being terminally curious has led me to my perception of why things are the way they are.

You'll agree with some of what I say and disagree with the rest. My sole purpose here is to plant seeds of thought, not dictate.

This is just stuff that's in my head.

One of my craziest thoughts is.......

If I combine eternity with probability, all things are possible and all things exist. This includes God, Buddha, Gaia, flying saucers, evolution and dinosaurs.

P.S. Remove spirituality and things start getting a little limited. "All things energy are possible and exist."

I tend toward scientific observations and try to relate various findings to what's really happening. I search for truth just like everyone else. The truth is very hard to find and my "truths" will be different than your "truths".
